Mego Iron Man

One of the Marvel superheroes made into an action figure by Mego in the mid-70's was Iron Man.

The Golden Avenger was always a fairly popular character since his debut in Tales Of Suspense #39. At the end of the 60's he gained his own book, and was a founding member of the super-group The Avengers.

The character has gained considerably in popularity in the past year or two due to the highly successful, effects-laden Iron Man feature film starring Robert Downey Jr.

The Mego Iron Man figure features a nose on his helmet - just as the Iron Man of the comics did during a brief period, when this toy was produced.
